nVent SCHROFF Expands High-Power Rack Safety Plus (RSP) Portfolio with 32 A and 63 A 3-Phase Versions

nVent SCHROFF has expanded its Rack Safety Plus (RSP) product line with new 3-phase versions specifically developed for the European Market. These enhancements bring higher power versions and 3-phases to outlets.

As demands for higher power density and advanced power distribution grow across Europe’s industrial and technology sectors, nVent SCHROFF is meeting the challenge with the latest evolution of its Rack Safety Plus (RSP) product line. Now available in newly developed 3-phase versions, these enhancements bring higher power inputs and 3-phase outlets, delivering greater efficiency, flexibility, and performance tailored specifically for the European market. Fit for test labs, edge sites, or validation environments where flexible, high-current rack-level power is needed, the RSP stands apart from standard data center PDUs, offering a specialized solution designed for dynamic and demanding applications.

What’s New?

1. New Input Options: 32 A and 63 A for 3-Phase RSP

The updated Rack Safety Plus is now available with 32 A and 63 A 3-phase input options, offering solutions for high-power applications. These new variants complement the existing 16 A 1-phase and 3-phase options, giving system designers the flexibility to meet demanding power needs.

2. Expanded Outlet Panel Options for 3-Phase 16 A and 32 A

To support different output configurations, the new versions include enhanced outlet panels on panel 2. These allow multiple configurations, such as:

  • 12x C13
  • 6x C13
  • 3x C19 (including lockable versions)
  • 3x Schuko (Type F, CEE 7/3)
  • 1x IEC 60309 (3L+N+PE, 6h) available in both 16 A and 32 A versions

3. Additional DC Outputs Now Available

Another major improvement is the integration of additional DC outputs, including:

  • 24 V DC output (350 W)
  • Optional 5 V DC (32.5 W) and 12 V DC (54 W) outputs at the rear panel

This integrated functionality reduces the need for external power supplies and simplifies cable management within the rack.

4. Form Factor Update for 63 A Models

Please note: the 63 A Rack Safety Plus version requires 4U of rack space, compared to the 3U height of the 16 A and 32 A models. This change accommodates higher power handling and enhanced safety mechanisms.

Customize Your RSP with the Online Configurator

A major benefit of the nVent SCHROFF RSP system is the easy-to-use online configurator, which allows customers to tailor their unit to precise requirements. From selecting input currents and outlet types to DC power options and form factors, the configurator makes it simple to design an RSP that fits your setup—fast and accurately.

However, if the configurator doesn’t include the specific feature you’re looking for, that doesn’t mean it’s out of reach. Simply enter your requirements in the comment field or contact us directly. In addition to the available configurations, we support a wide range of modifications and customizations, including the use of alternative connector types, splitting the control and power sections into separate chassis, and many other tailored solutions to meet your unique application needs.

Try it now to streamline your design process and ensure compatibility with your hardware infrastructure.

Perfect Fit for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Testing

With the addition of the new 32 A and 63 A 3-phase versions, nVent SCHROFF reinforces its commitment to meeting the evolving power demands of modern HIL testing environments. The enhanced Rack Safety Plus (RSP) not only delivers higher power capacity but also upholds the safety, flexibility, and reliability that test engineers depend on. As testing systems grow more complex, RSP stands as a future-ready solution, ensuring robust protection and seamless integration into critical test infrastructure
