YOU WILL SEE WE VALUE COLLABORATION & FLEXIBILITY

At nVent, we believe our culture is a differentiator. We have found that coming together, in person, drives innovation and collaboration. Bringing people together allows us to foster the strong, diverse culture we have built, and it enables our teams to thrive. As such, we operate primarily as an office-first, hybrid organization.

Our global, hybrid approach ensures that employees are empowered and are afforded flexibility in how they manage work and life. At nVent, a hybrid work schedule means that employees work in the office a minimum of four days a week, have one day of remote work, and follow core office hours daily (as determined by the local office) to facilitate effective collaboration and connections. Outside of the core hours, our employees can adjust their start and end times in alignment with team guidelines and responsibilities. We have found success in having a structure that balances the benefits of in-person collaboration with the flexibility many of us value.

We also acknowledge and appreciate the many employees in our manufacturing plants and distribution centers who work on-site every day to build and ship our products to meet customer needs. This means:

  • We always prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees
  • We live our Customer First value and ensure work is scheduled to best serve our customers – from making products and responding to customer inquiries to ensuring we meet internal customer needs
  • We focus on outcomes and drive for business and professional growth, fostering an inclusive environment for shared learning
YOU WILL EXPERIENCE PERSONAL GROWTH

Offer

Upon successful completion of the interview process, nVent’s interview team will make their hiring recommendations and offer letters and/or employment contracts will be drafted.

At nVent, each job has a range of pay or a pay scale, a minimum and a maximum that nVent reasonably expects to pay and each job’s pay scale is based on the country or local market-based cost of labor.

Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. At nVent, we are dedicated to providing equitable compensation as a commitment to our people.

Once offer materials are drafted, they will be communicated to the selected candidate and provided either electronically of physically based on the country requirements. Once the offer is accepted, there may be pre-employment verifications that are necessary prior to a start date depending on specific country requirements.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

We are looking for individuals eager to bring bold ideas, be authentic, and help build the future of a more sustainable and electrified world. People who desire to put their innovation to work to advance our success – and their own.

We believe in equity. All candidates are assessed based on their individual experience, qualifications, alignment with our values and key leadership competencies that all nVent employees possess.

TIPS FROM THE TALENT ACQUISITION TEAM

During the recruitment process, you will meet with a number of individuals to enable us to capture diverse perspectives and provide you with a well-rounded experience. Here are some things you can do to prepare for the experience.

  • Entice us with your story. We love story-telling at nVent because great stories influence, educate and have staying power. When stories are well-told, they create memory and connection. Interviews go by quickly, so use the time wisely to share key information that showcases why you are the best candidate for the role. Above all else, be yourself! Know who you are, your strengths and the ways you’d like to grow.
  • Be prepared to answer behavioral questions in the STAR method. Having a structured manner of responding to questions will help you provide clear, results-oriented and concise answers. It is an effective way to describe to the interviewer(s) the skills and experiences that you would bring to nVent.
    • Situation: What was the situation that occurred?
    • Task: What was the task, problem, or challenge that you took responsibility for?
    • Action: What action did you take in the scenario?
    • Result: What was the outcome or result?
  • Present your best you. Know the details of the role you are interviewing for, be ready to demonstrate why you are interested in working at nVent and how you can make an impact. Ultimately, we want you to feel good about the impression you make.
  • Take time to explore our website and social channels to get an understanding of our mission, history, inventive solutions and the industries we serve. It is important to us. As an electrical manufacturer with connection and protection solutions that are largely unseen, it is sometimes difficult to grasp everything that we do. That is okay – being curious and interested is a great place to start.

Come ready with questions. The interview process goes both ways, and we want to ensure you have the opportunity to ask questions and get to know our organization so that you can make an informed decision for yourself.

We want the recruitment process to be a fruitful experience for all. Lean on your recruiter to make sure you feel prepared and informed about the process and nVent.
