Outdoor Cabinets

Outdoor Cabinets for Modular Energy Storage Solutions

Outdoor IP55 cabinets act as a robust fortress, shielding the sensitive components of energy storage systems from harsh weather conditions, temperature extremes, moisture, and dust. They are engineered to withstand challenging outdoor environments, ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of the stored energy.

Protection against environmental influences
  • Meets requirements for pressure, temperature, humidity, wind, rain, snow, hail, ice, solar radiation, radiation, lightning protection, pollution and fire protection.
  • Provides electromagnetic compatibility.
Security and burglary protection
  • Structural stability thanks to aluminum frame and double-walled design.
  • Handles and screws are accessible only from the inside, protecting against vandalism.
Scalability and flexibility
  • Construction allows access to the cabinet from all sides.
  • Available dimensions in standard: width 700-2000 mm, height 1000-2100 mm, depth 500-1200 mm, each in 50-mm increments, other dimensions can be realized on request.
  • Extensive range of accessories, compatible with 19″ cabinet accessories.
Optimal thermal performance
  • Passive cooling (thermal performance only due to double wall design): Thermal transmittance in ambient according to standard IEN 61969-3 Kl. 1, without solar radiation: 20 - 24 W/K
  • The double wall allows to reduce from 85% direct sun radiation
  • Active cooling: (thermal power by kit with two 24V fans and thermostat): 160 W/K, air flow rate 540 m³/h
  • Optional: active cooling with fans by PWM control and thermostat or by air conditioning cooling units for optimal cooling performance
Integration services
  • Expertise of nVent SCHROFF in the integration of components such as batteries, rectifiers, AC panels, etc.
  • Assistance with tests and simulations to ensure that the cabinet meets the application requirements.
Certifications
  • IEC 61969-3 and EN 50125-3 for protection against environmental influences
  • EN 50125-3 for protection against shock and vibration (1-3 m distance from track)
  • EN 60529 for protection up to IP55
  • IEC 61587-2 and IEC 61969-3 for earthquake resistance up to Bellcore Zone 4
  • EN 50125-3 for wind resistance up to 180 km/h
  • EN 1627 and EN 1630 for protection against vandalism
  • IEC 61969-2 for coordination dimensions for the design of fixed outdoor enclosures
  • IEC 60068-2-75, IEC 62262 and IK 10 for impact resistance
