Sustainability has been a critical part of who we are and how we have operated since the beginning of our company. We focus our sustainability efforts in three areas: People, Products and Planet. We regularly review and update our sustainability strategy priorities, actions and reporting approach and consider many factors, including stakeholder feedback.
Understanding the issues our stakeholders care about is critical to our overall business strategy, including sustainability. We have worked to establish a robust and collaborative engagement program that enables us to continuously receive stakeholder input. Our broad stakeholder engagement activities—encompassing investors, customers, employees, suppliers and members of the communities where we operate—facilitate information sharing about issues that impact our business.
Members of our Executive Leadership Team and cross-functional Sustainability Steering Team regularly engage with our investors, customers, employees and suppliers on sustainability issues. Additionally, members of our Board of Directors meet with our investors and employees. These engagements help us identify improvement opportunities that create shared value across our stakeholder groups.
Internally, we hold quarterly town hall meetings that include discussing sustainability priorities with our entire employee population and conduct listening circles. We also regularly gather our people leaders for open forums covering many topics, including sustainability, to hear updates, raise questions and share suggestions with leaders and their peers. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) also play an essential role in both soliciting employee feedback and leading initiatives that engage employees in driving positive sustainability results for our company.
We also consider external frameworks like the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in determining our approach to sustainability. The SDGs are aimed to address global issues to build a better world and planet. As a global company, we recognize the value of the SDGs as a global call to action. Our sustainability initiatives align most closely with 12 of the SDGs, which you can explore in our sustainability report.
Our focus on sustainability extends throughout our organization, and improvement ideas come from across the company. Our global EHS, integrated supply chain and sustainability teams work closely together on many environmental projects, and our sustainability-focused ERG called Grass Roots also plays a critical role in driving meaningful and impactful change across our organization.
As we work to build a more sustainable and electrified world, it is important that we operate in a sustainable way. We are committed to being a steward of the environment and winning the right way. Our approach demonstrates the power of sustainability as we connect and protect the electrified world.
