We believe our culture is a differentiator. We intentionally shape our culture through orientation sessions, tools and resources and formal training programs. Our employees reinforce this culture through their behaviors and actions every day. Our culture drives inclusion, innovation and growth. Diverse perspectives are key to our ability to innovate for our customers. We invest in our people so that they can bring their bold ideas and authentic selves to work daily.
At nVent, we have nine Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), open to all employees. Our ERGs are formed by employees who share a common interest, background or experience. ERGs play a critical role in giving all employees a voice and providing leadership opportunities for those who seek them out. ERG members overall have a 3 percentage point higher retention rate than all employees. In 2024, we saw a continued growth in interest from our production employees in our ERGs. Following a steep rise in the number of production employees joining ERGs in 2023, last year we saw a further increase of 26%.
We offer various learning opportunities to promote employees’ personal growth throughout their careers. From mentoring to leadership development and learning programs, we set our employees up for success, helping them grow from the daily experiences of their roles and supplementing that development with formal programming. ERGs offer opportunities to build new skills, mentor one another and network across the organization. Our approach to helping employees develop their careers and improve performance focuses on driving results and continuously growing through effective feedback, coaching and planned experiences. Managers and employees work together to define performance goals aligned with nVent’s key strategic priorities and establish individual development plans to ensure we achieve results by demonstrating nVent values and guiding behaviors on the job.
