In honor of Earth Day, our Grass Roots Employee Resource Group (ERG) held a celebration month in April highlighted by several impactful global events. The mission of Grass Roots is to raise awareness and encourage the adoption of sustainable practices among nVent employees and help nVent identify opportunities to enhance its sustainability efforts.
From tree planting events to beach cleanups, our teams made a significant impact throughout the month. Overall, 217 volunteers participated in Earth Day events across 10 different nVent sites globally. Our volunteers collected over 1,000 pounds of trash and planted over 200 trees in our communities. We are proud of our employees for their commitment to sustainability.
The 2025 global Earth Day theme was Our Power, Our Planet, calling for everyone to unite around renewable energy to triple clean electricity by 2030.
nVent also released our 2024 Sustainability Report in April, detailing the progress we have made over the course of the last year. At nVent, being a good steward of the environment is integral to how we operate. Our innovation, adaptability and continuous improvement approach allows us to help protect natural resources and provide value to our customers and the communities where we live and work.
Our people are at the core of our business. Our ERGs are formed by employees who share a common interest, background or experience and are open to all employees. They are responsible for leading our employee-driven inclusion and diversity efforts. ERG leaders and members support each other, foster awareness of diversity and promote inclusion and respect throughout nVent.
