Inventory API

WHAT IT IS

With the Inventory API, distribution partners can more easily and accurately provide availability-based product recommendations as well as shipping and delivery date estimates to their customers.

HOW IT WORKS

We have two endpoints available in our inventory API. The payload returned in both cases is JSON format.

• Availability: retrieves the stock availability of a catalogue item in the distributor's Hoffman warehouse. It also provides the earliest delivery date for those units.

  Requires the parameters:
  NAME	DESCRIPTION
  Customer Number	Account number with nVent HOFFMAN
  Item Number	Catalog number to be searched

  
   

• DeliveryPlan: this endpoint functions similarly to the 'availability' endpoint but accepts units as a parameter, enabling a breakdown of planned deliveries, including shipped units and corresponding delivery dates.

  Requires the parameters:
  NAME	DESCRIPTION
  Customer Number	Account number with nVent HOFFMAN
  Item Number	Catalog number to be searched
  Ordered Qty	Number of units needed
