Service Request for Cooling Units

Step 1. Troubleshooting guide to find a solution for your issue:

1. Excessive formation of condensate

Cabinet with degree of protection less than IP54

a. Check that the self-adhesive rubber seal between the air conditioner and the cabinet has been applied properly

b. Check that the closing panels of the condenser have been properly assembled

c. Check that there are no openings in the cabinet

2. Does not cool adequately

Internal fan runs, compressor and external fan operate intermittently

a. Clean the evaporator

b. Make sure that there are no external causes which limit the flow of air inside circuit

Condenser fan and evaporator fan operate and compressor operates intermittently

a. High pressure switch intervention, when present
 

Ambient temperature higher than the maximum allowed by the rating plate

  • Ventilate the room

  • Dirty filter

Clean or if necessary replace the dirty filter

  • Dirty exchange condenser

Clean the condenser

  • Ventilation short-circuiting

Make sure that no obstructions or obstacles may cause exhaust air short-circuiting

Check that the minimum distances from a wall, ceiling, electrical cabinet or another air conditioner is respected as indicated in this manual

 

b. Compressor thermal protector intervention

Air temperature in the cabinet higher than the maximum value allowed by the rating plate of the unit

 

Same causes and remedies reported at 2.a

Internal fan operates, external fan does not operate, compressor operates intermittently

a. Faulty fan electric condenser

  • Replace the electric condenser

b. Faulty external fan

  • Replace the condenser fan

3. Does not cool

None of the components operate

a. No voltage to the unit

  • Make sure doors and switches are closed
Compressor, condenser fan and evaporator fan operate

a. Insufficient gas charge in the cooling system

b. Compressor mechanical fault

External fan and internal fan operate, compressor does not operate

a. Faulty fan electric condenser

  • Replace the electric condenser fan

b. Faulty evaporator fan

  • Replace the fan
External fan, internal fan and compressor operate

a. Adjusting thermostat faulty or set at a temperature higher than the temperature in the cabinet
