nVent Enhances the Student Experience in Partnership with Bakersfield College

Within the last academic year, nVent partnered with Bakersfield College with the help of our manufacturing rep, Nelson & Associates. This partnership benefits students involved in a specific program at Bakersfield College an enhanced educational experience through hands-on training and products. The college offers a program designed for students interested in the industrial controls field.
Through this program, students have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with nVent HOFFMAN products and the product’s applications in the electrical industry. Bakersfield College is one of the nation’s oldest community colleges, located in California. The college is comprised of a diverse group of students, representing the community it serves. Bakersfield College has a commitment to offering high-quality education and practical experiences to students. Our engagement in this program has given students exposure to nVent’s products as they start their career in industrial controls. We have scheduled training sessions and workshops for students to further immerse themselves in our products and solutions. The partnership has resulted in an enhanced learning experience and the development of critical thinking and technical skills among the students. This collaboration also introduces students to career opportunities at nVent and within the electrical industry.
After completing the program, we hope that students will utilize nVent and Nelson & Associates as a trusted resource in their career. Due to the partnership’s success, we plan to continue our partnership with Bakersfield College and its students in the next academic year.
nVent has collaborated with students in our communities in different capacities over the years including tours, partnerships and career exploration.
